重庆财经学院（原重庆工商大学融智学院）成立于2001年，2003年经教育部批准为全日制普通本科层次的独立学院，2011年增列为学士学位授权单位。2020年经教育部批准转设为独立设置的非营利性民办普通本科高等学校。
学校位于重庆市巴南区，占地900余亩，现有教师600余人，全日制在校本科生12000余人。学校有经济学、管理学、工学和文学4个学科门类，开设有35个全日制本科专业，其中金融学学科专业群是重庆市特色学科专业群，经济学、金融学、物流管理、会计学、软件工程是重庆市特色专业建设点，金融学、会计学、会展经济与管理是重庆市一流专业建设项目。近日，学校金融学专业成功入选“2020年度国家级一流本科专业建设点”。
已取得的成绩
教学方面：近年来，学校共获得重庆市教学成果三等奖3项，是教育部学校规划建设发展中心“新金融智慧学习工场（2020）”项目首批试点院校之一；主持教育部产学合作协同育人项目6项，重庆市深化教育领域综合改革试点项目5项，重庆市教育教学改革项目60项（其中重大项目2项、重点项目7项）；重庆市一流课程8门；出版自编教材33部；建有校级教学团队19个，教师工作室11个。2016年11月，学校获批为重庆市第二批整体向应用型转变试点高校。
科研方面：近年来，学校获批省部级重点实验室1个、厅局级行业重点实验室1个，市级高校科技创新研究群体1个，市级高校哲学社会科学协同创新研究培育团队1个，与协会学位、研究机构、市场主体合作共建协同创新平台5个。国家社科基金项目立项5项，教育部人文社科项目立项4项，省部级科研项目立项超140项；承担各类企事业单位委托的横向课题94项；发表公开发表学术论文916篇；申请发明专利30项，授权专利2项；7项决策建议获得省部级领导批示。
国际交流与合作：学校坚持植根重庆、服务西部、面向全国、走向世界的开放办学思路，积极对接“一带一路”倡议，已先后与来自英国、美国、加拿大、捷克、澳大利亚、韩国、俄罗斯、马来西亚、泰国、马里、贝宁和新西兰等17个国家（地区）的30余所高校建立了合作关系；开设有中英、中西班牙等多个本硕连读项目及海外知名高校的交换生项目。此外，学校同时开设有国际注册会计师（ACCA）、特许金融分析师（CFA）以及注册管理会计师（CMA）等3个财经类国际项目班。另外，学校建有国际语言学习中心和留学服务中心，为师生提供出国学习交流一站式服务。
创新创业：学校成立了创新创业教育中心，系统开展创新创业教育。打造了特色路演大厅、创客集市和产业园创业基地。在推进“大众创业、万众创新”行动中，学校成为重庆市教委和市科技局“众创空间”的双授牌单位。建有学生创业实训孵化基地，现已入住学生团队项目56个，师生共创项目16个，参与学生840余人，目前已孵化公司14家。
学生就业:学校累计向社会输送毕业生2万余人。近年来，毕业生平均就业率超过90%以上。毕业生顺利签约全国各大银行、证券公司、党政机关等大型企事业单位。此外，部分毕业生成功考取了英国爱丁堡大学、曼彻斯彻大学、复旦大学、中国科学技术大学、南开大学、湖南大学、西南财经大学等国内外知名大学研究生。
Introduction toChongqing Finance and Economics College
ChongqingFinance and Economics College (hereafter referred to as “the College or“CFEC”), originally Rongzhi College of Chongqing Technology and Business University was founded in April 2001 and approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education as a full-time general independent undergraduate college with undergraduate-level education in Dec. 2003. In 2011, the College was officially allowed to award bachelor’s degree. In 2020, the College got its present name as a new non-profit private college under the support of Chinese Ministry ofEducation.
CFEC covers an area of about 1,100 acres and is located in Ba’nan District,Chongqing Municipality. It has a faculty of more than 600 and around 12,000 students on campus. CFEC offers undergraduate degrees in 35 majors, covering the fields of economics, management, engineering and literature. The Finance Discipline Group was recognized as municipal discipline group with specialtiesby the Chongqing government. Five majors, including economics, finance, logistics management, accounting and software engineering are recognized asmunicipal programs with specialties. Finance, accounting and exhibition economy and management have been included in the list of Chongqing’s first-class programs and finance has also been included in the list of national first-class programs recently.
Major Achievements
Teaching: In recenty ears, CFEC has won 3 Third Prizes of Chongqing Teaching Achievement Award andis one of the first batch of pilot colleges and universities for the “NewFinancial Smart Learning Workshop (2020)” Project launched by the National Center for Schooling Development Programme. Teachers have presided over 6 Industry-universityCollaborative Education Projects of the Ministry of Education, 5 pilot projects aimed at Deepening Comprehensive Reform of Education in Chongqing, 60 ChongqingMunicipal Education and Teaching Reform Projects (including 2 major projectsand 7 key projects), and 8 Chongqing Municipal First-class Courses. Thirtythree textbooks edited by CFEC teachers have been published and brought into use; 19 school-level teaching teams and 11 teacher studios have been built. In November 2016, the college was approved as the second batch of pilots for theoverall transformation to application-oriented colleges and universities inChongqing.
Scientific Research: Recent years has witnessed that CFEC has been approved to build 1 key laboratoryat ministerial and provincial-level, 1key industrial laboratory at bureau level, 1 municipal scientific and technological innovation research group, and 1 municipal collaborative innovation research and cultivation team of philosophy and social sciences. CFEC has alsoco-built 5 collaborative innovation platforms with associations, research institutions, and market entities. Accomplishments have been prosperous ininitiating projects at various levels, including 5 national social science fundprojects, 4 humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education, and 140-odd scientific research projects at provincial andministerial level. 94 projects commissioned by various enterprises andinstitutions have been undertaken by teachers and researchers of CFEC. 916 academic papers have been published; 30 invention patents and 2 authorizedpatents have been registered; 7 decision-making suggestions have been commented by provincial and ministerial leaders.
International Exchanges and Cooperation:Adhering to the opening-up schooling idea of rooting in Chongqing, serving the west of China, facing the whole country, and going to the world, and activelyconnecting with the “Belt and Road” initiative, CFEC has been successively establishing relations with 30 colleges and universities from 17 countries (regions), including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the Czech Republic,Australia, South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand, Mali, Benin and New Zealand. Multiple programs issuing Bachelor’s and Master’s degree have been operating by CFEC and institutions of the United Kingdom and Spain, and exchange programs are provided for students to study in well-known oversea universities. CFEC also offers 3 international project classes of finance and economics, ACCA (the Associationof Chartered Certified Accountants), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). In addition, International Language Study Center and Service Centerfor Scholarly Exchanges are in operation to provide teachers and students with a one-stop service for studying and exchanging abroad.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship:CFEC has established an innovationand entrepreneurship education center to systematically carry out innovationand entrepreneurship education. A characteristic roadshow hall, maker markets and an industrial park entrepreneurship base have been built. CFEC has become ad ually-licensed unit of the “Maker-Space” by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau thanks to advancing the “Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. An entrepreneurship training incubation base covering and benefiting more than 840 students has been built with 56 student team projects and 16 teacher-student co-creation projects starting up. Till now, 14 companies have been incubated.
Students Employment:Until now, CFEC has cultivated more than 20,000 graduates. In recent years, the average graduate employment rate has exceeded 90%. Graduates successfully signed contracts with major banks, securities companies, Party and government institutions and other large enterprises and institutions. Also, some graduates have successfully been enrolled as postgraduates of famous universities at home and abroad, such as University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, FudanUniversity, University of Science and Technology of China, Nankai University,Hunan University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
